Seven Years "Goodbye may seem forever,Seven Years by ~SerenityButterfly
fair well is like the end."
Grey clouds swirled with powdered night,
soft against my pale cheek against your light
belly colored in brown tones and stripes.
I get lost in them, let me drift
through your bristled sky, groomed
and your paws shaded maroon
like a lunar eclipse drunk with
strawberry wine, claws shaped
to the crescent early noon moon.
Your whiskers were shooting stars
reaching out through metal bars
and plastic holes.
I reached through but you were too far,
too far from my shaking hands with your back
parked against your tan taxi cart.
Tears bring me back to blue sheets,
wher
